房地产大亨特朗普的诉讼人生

    房地产开发商Irongate Wilshire

    2009年，墨西哥下加利福尼亚一系列豪华公寓项目惨遭失败，由此引发一系列诉讼，唐纳德•特朗普也受到牵连。起因是洛杉矶开发商Irongate Wilshire打着特朗普的旗号为项目做广告。但消费者后来发现，实际上特朗普并没有太多参地与项目的管理和开发，于是消费者起诉特朗普和Irongate，要求偿还3,200万美元预付款。

    Irongate Wilshire

    In 2009, Donald Trump was involved in a number of lawsuits surrounding the failed construction of a set of luxury condos in Baja California, Mexico. The Los Angeles developer Irongate Wilshire used Trump's name to advertise the project. When buyers found out that Trump wasn't actually playing a big role in managing and developing it, they sued him and Irongate for $32 million in down payments.

    Trump, who had sold the developer the right to use his name, was piqued when he found out what happened. He withdrew from the project and sued Irongate for $40 million, claiming he wanted to help buyers recover their lost investments.
