跑题（不及物动词）

(Intransitive verb) To wander or stray from the main topic while discussing something.

EXAMPLE: The elderly professor's lectures often divagated into odd topics unrelated to his primary subject.

Describing something which will not be optimal, but which will be satisfactory if other better alternatives are unavailable.

EXAMPLE: I prefer to drive my car when I visit my parents in their village, but in a pinch I can take a bus.
