Factory Worker

If you work on a manufacturing line, your future co-worker could be a robot. Boston-based Rethink Robotics has created Baxter, a new manufacturing robot that performs a variety of repetitive production tasks right next to people. The robot doesn't need high-tech programming; anyone can teach and show the robot how to do a job, such as packing boxes and assembling products. The robot can detect human presence and interference, which ensures its safety around people.
