    乔纳森•莱昂斯：他送给铁哥们一个肾

    在田纳西州富兰克林沃尔玛超市工作期间，乔纳森•莱昂斯（上图右）和德里克•克里彻（左）成为好朋友。他们一起玩在线视频游戏，但多年来，莱昂斯也越来越了解到克里彻的多囊性肾病。2013年1月，在看到克里彻因为一次预定安排的移植而燃起希望，最终因为配型不符而希望落空时，莱昂斯说：“这件事给我带来了很大的触动”——他想成为克里彻的捐赠者，前提是他们的血型和组织类型匹配。结果，两人完全匹配。虽然克里彻反复表示，莱昂斯可以收回自己的决定，但莱昂斯还是下定了决心。他对自己的好友说道：“医生已经在我身上戳来刺去这么多次了，不在乎再多一次。”去年秋天，两人成功接受了移植手术。

    Jonathan Lyons (above, right) and Derrick Crutcher (left) became friends while working at the Wal-Mart in Franklin, Tenn. They bonded over online video games, and over the years Lyons also learned more and more about Crutcher’s polycystic kidney disease. In January 2013, after seeing Crutcher get his hopes up about a scheduled transplant, only for the match to fall through, “it really hit me,” Lyons says: He would be his friend’s donor—that is, assuming their blood and tissue types were compatible. They were a complete match, as it turns out. Though Crutcher repeatedly insisted Lyons could back out of his decision, Lyons had made up his mind: “I’ve already been poked and prodded way too much,” he told his pal. The successful surgery took place last fall.
