时过境迁，雅芳钟彬娴退居二线

    钟彬娴很快就得让出雅芳（Avon）首席执行官这个炙手可热的位置，由别人接手。12月份，雅芳公司宣布将把首席执行官和董事长职位一分为二。近年来雅芳面临诸多挑战，最近一起即美国证券交易委员会（SEC）针对其海外行贿指控的调查。今年10月，分析人士在雅芳业绩电话会议上提出了严重警告。

    钟彬娴将继续留在雅芳，担任临时首席执行官直到公司找到接替者，届时她将成为执行董事长。在所有《财富》500强公司的女性首席执行官中，钟彬娴的任期最长，超过了十年。但正如钟彬娴自己也愿意承认的那样，与她1999年刚刚出任首席执行官的时候相比，化妆品直销行业如今面对的已经是一个完全不同的世界。

Avon's corporate makeover

    Someone other than Andrea Jung will soon take the hot seat at Avon. In December, the company announced that it would split the CEO and chairman roles in two. Avon has faced significant hurdles in the past years, most recently an SEC investigation related to allegations of bribery overseas. This past October, analysts read the riot act in a blistering earnings call.

    Jung will stick around, serving as interim CEO until the company finds a replacement, at which point she'll become executive chairman. Out of all the female CEOs at Fortune 500 companies, Jung has held her position the longest, for over a decade. But, as Jung herself seems ready to admit, it's a different world out there for direct-sales cosmetics than it was when she became CEO in 1999.
