(noun) A partial payment of a debt (usually in equal amounts over a predetermined period of time)

EXAMPLE: We are paying $1,200 for the piano in twelve installments of $100.

It's a done deal

(VERY INFORMAL) Expression describing something that is final and cannot easily be changed (somewhat humorous)

EXAMPLE: While several people won't like the new project we're proposing, if the boss announces publicly that we are starting, then it's a done deal and no one can stop it.
