"There's no evidence that the marketplace is abandoning Windows to any significant degree."

    So wrote ZDNet Windows guru Ed Bott in a blog post Sunday that's getting some attention today. Bott went looking for data to support the widespread impression that Apple (AAPL) is gaining on Microsoft (MSFT). Using data from Net Market Share, which tracks what devices are accessing its clients through the Internet, he produced a lovely chart, copied below the fold, that shows the growth of OS X and iOS over the past three years.

    What he didn't offer was the pie chart from the same data, above, that best makes his point: That it's still a Windows world.
